Music composer, teacher, choral conductor, poet
Matilda Jane Kraemer received her Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Nazareth College of Rochester and her Master of Music degree from the University of Notre Dame. She has taught music at all levels from Kindergarten to college and is presently teaching in the Continuing Education program at Anne Arundel Community College.
For several years, Jane directed Jubilate!, a group which sang at area nursing homes throughout the year. The choral group stopped when the Covid made it impossible to sing at nursing homes, and it was finally disbanded.
In 2019 Jane received an Annie Award from the Anne Arundel Arts Council “recognizing lasting, significant and inspiring contributions to an art form, an arts organization and/or to the wider community of Anne Arundel County”.
Jane teaches music history as an adjunct professor at Anne Arundel Community College. She is the recording secretary of the Londontowne Symphony Board.
Liing in Edgewater, Maryland, with her three cats, Jane enjoys painting watercolors and writing poetry.
